Testimonials
Jiří Plíšek was an important person in my development as a football player and had a significant influence on my professional career.
We worked together both as coach and player and individually, focusing on my development, tactics and understanding of the striker position. His training methods, personal approach and guidance helped prepare me technically, tactically, physically and mentally for professional football.
Beyond our work at the club, Jiří was also a mentor to me and was always ready to support me throughout my football journey.
I am grateful to him for his contribution to my development and my career.
I had the opportunity to work with Coach Plíšek during his time at FK Željezničar and during my time in Czechia. It was one of the best experiences of my career.
He is one of the coaches who has had the greatest influence on my development and my understanding of football. He laid the foundations for my professional career and gave me the opportunity to play at the age of 18.
Coach Plíšek always believed in me and supported me, while at the same time demanding maximum effort, which helped me become a better player and a better person.
I am grateful to him for everything he has done for me and my career. Without his guidance and knowledge, my football journey would not have been the same.
Throughout my football career, many players and coaches have contributed to my success, I learned from them and grew alongside them. The 2011/12 season at FK Sarajevo holds a special place for me, as I had the opportunity to be part of the team managed by Jiri Plisek. His ability to convey his vision to the players, offer support whenever needed, and maintain the necessary coaching authority was truly remarkable. Even now, years after we worked together, I still incorporate some of his advice and insights into my own coaching.
I always enjoy meeting up with Jiri Plisek to reminisce about the time I spent on his team and to exchange new coaching experiences.
I met Coach Plíšek when I was 18 years old, after joining SK Slavia Prague. Even then, his professional approach to football made a strong impression on me and helped me establish myself and progress further in my professional football career.
I first met Coach Jiří Plíšek while playing for the SK Slavia Prague youth team. Under his leadership, we had the opportunity to compete against some of the best teams in Europe, and I earned a place in the Czech Republic U19 national team.
Jirka has helped me develop in many areas — as a football player, in management and coaching, and also in terms of my personality and mentality. I consider him my football dad — someone who truly knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to any player, coach, team, or club.
“Jiří Plíšek gave me my first opportunity to play for the national team, which was a great experience and a strong motivation for my further development. There aren’t many people in Czech football with whom I enjoy discussing the game in depth. Coach Plíšek is one of them.”
“I met Jirka in person when I was 19 years old. Right away, I could tell I was talking to someone who truly understood football, was open to discussion, and was always willing to help.
He shared his perspective on football with me, told me the story of how he discovered Edin Džeko, and explained the journey behind his work.”
As Director of the Slavia Prague Academy, Jiří Plíšek had a clear vision focused on achieving success at the international level.
I highly value his personal and professional qualities, his ability to work with people, his openness, and his constant drive to improve.
Jiří Plíšek is a football coach and expert who has consistently introduced innovative ideas and modern approaches to player and team development, as well as to the organization of the clubs he has worked with.
I personally incorporated some of these elements into my own coaching practice while leading top-flight and national teams.
During his successful career in top-level Czech professional football, Jiří Plíšek also served for many years as an expert with the Union of Czech Football Coaches.
His contributions were always grounded in a high level of sports science knowledge and practical experience.
He consistently sought to bring additional value to coach education programs, with a particular focus on training methodology and the development of talented young players.
